Google Shopping Product Data Checker

Paste a product page address. We'll read the product data Google sees and tell you what would stop it showing prices and stock in search, or appearing in free Shopping listings.

Our server fetches the public page once to read it. We don't store the address or the results.

What this checks

Google reads product details from structured data: hidden schema.org markup on the page, in JSON-LD or microdata. It uses it for product results in search and for free listings in the Shopping tab. This checker finds the Product on the page and tests it against Google's requirements.

Must have

  • Name and at least one image.
  • An Offer with a price written as a plain number (24.99, not £24.99) and a three-letter currency such as GBP.
  • Valid data. One broken JSON-LD block means Google ignores all of it.

Should have

  • Stock status (availability), brand and description.
  • A GTIN (barcode) or MPN. We check the barcode's check digit, which Merchant Center also does.
  • Shipping details and a returns policy, unless you set them in Merchant Center.

Good to know

  • Some shops block automated tools. If yours does, that doesn't mean Google can't read it; Google's crawler is usually allowed.
  • For a full picture, also use Google's Rich Results Test and the Merchant Center diagnostics.
